Deleting a meeting permanently removes it from the team's meeting list. This action cannot be undone, so use it carefully — for meetings that are part of your official record, consider archiving instead (see the note at the end of this article).
Steps
- Navigate to the team the meeting belongs to (for example, Formation Tech > Board Meeting).
- Open the meeting you want to delete (from Next Meeting, Recent Meetings, or View All Meetings).
- On the meeting's detail page, click the Actions dropdown near the top of the page.
- Click Delete meeting (shown in red at the bottom of the menu).
- A confirmation popup will appear in your browser asking you to confirm the deletion. Review the meeting name carefully, then:
- Click OK/Confirm to permanently delete the meeting.
- Click Cancel if you want to keep the meeting.
- Once confirmed, you'll be returned to the team's meeting list, and the deleted meeting will no longer appear.
Alternative: Archiving instead of deleting
If a meeting has already taken place and has minutes, motions, or votes on the record, deleting it may not be appropriate since that data may need to be preserved. The Actions menu also offers an Archive meeting option, which hides the meeting from active lists while keeping its record intact and available to restore later. Use Archive when you want to clean up your active meeting list without permanently losing historical data, and reserve Delete for meetings created in error or test/duplicate meetings that were never held.
