While a meeting is running (or being reviewed after the fact), Agendized provides a side chat for participants to talk informally. This is separate from the official record — messages sent here never appear in the meeting's notes or minutes.
Opening the chat
- Open a meeting that is in progress (or reopened for review).
- In the bottom right corner of the screen, click the Chat bubble.
- A panel labeled Meeting chat opens, with the subtitle "Side chat for participants — not part of the minutes."
Sending a message
- Click into the message box at the bottom of the chat panel.
- Type your message.
- Click Send (or press Enter) to post it.
Messages appear to everyone currently viewing the meeting, in real time.
Closing the chat
Click the X in the top right corner of the chat panel to close it. A red notification dot on the Chat bubble indicates there are new messages you haven't seen yet.
When to use it vs. official notes
Use the chat sidebar for side conversation, quick questions, or coordination during the meeting — for example, flagging a technical issue or confirming who's presenting next. If something needs to be part of the official record (for the minutes), add it instead through the Notes or Meeting notes fields on the agenda item or meeting itself, where you can choose to include it in the minutes.
